Help with licensing, activation, and the Slipstream DRC desktop app.
Frequently asked questions
Each purchase includes a license for up to three (3) Windows machines you control at the same time. Deactivate a device in the app Settings before activating on another machine if you reach the limit.
After purchase, check your email for a license key (format SSDRC-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). Open Slipstream DRC, go to Settings, paste the key, and click Activate. The app contacts our license API with your key and a device identifier derived from Windows MachineGuid, then stores a signed license file locally.
Yes, for up to thirty (30) days after activation or your last online refresh. After that, the app needs a brief online check to refresh the license. Media processing itself always happens locally on your machine.
Licenses bind to a Windows MachineGuid-derived device ID. VM clones or disk images copied to another machine may count as a separate device. Deactivate on the old machine before activating on a new one.
Use the license recovery form below with the email address from checkout. For privacy we always show the same success message whether or not that email has a purchase on file.
Nowhere. Slipstream DRC processes files entirely on your device using bundled FFmpeg and ffprobe sidecars. No telemetry, analytics, or media uploads.
How licensing works
- 1. Purchase at checkout — we email your SSDRC license key
- 2. Install Slipstream DRC from the download page
- 3. Open Settings → paste key → Activate (online once)
- 4. App stores a signed license file; works offline for 30 days between refreshes
