Summary
Slipstream DRC is a local Windows desktop application. It does not create user accounts, does not include telemetry or analytics inside the app, and does not upload your media files. This website (slipstreamdrc.com) is separate: it sells licenses, hosts documentation, and may use advertising/conversion tags subject to regional consent rules described below.
Data processed on your device
- Media files you select are probed and processed locally using bundled FFmpeg and ffprobe sidecars.
- Application settings are stored locally (for example in browser or webview local storage).
- A signed license file is stored under your Windows
%APPDATA%profile when you activate. Settings export does not include your license key or license file. - Temporary preview clips may be written under the app cache directory on your machine.
Network activity (desktop app)
The desktop app may contact:
- License API (slipstreamdrc.com/api/v1) when you activate, refresh, or deactivate a license. Requests include your license key and a device identifier derived from Windows
MachineGuid. Media files are never uploaded. - Updates — signed update check against update.slipstreamdrc.com/slipstream-drc/latest.json. Update downloads are verified with Tauri updater signatures before install.
Website checkout
Purchasing on this site uses Stripe for payment processing. Your email address is stored so we can deliver and recover your license key. Stripe may set cookies on its checkout pages. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data they collect.
Website cookies and advertising
Essential first-party cookies support checkout return, consent choice, and security. When advertising measurement is enabled, Google Tag Manager / Google Ads may set cookies or use pixels to attribute purchases and downloads.
- EEA, United Kingdom, and Canada: a consent banner is shown. Advertising cookies and tags load only after you Accept. Reject keeps essential checkout working.
- United States and other regions: advertising tags may load after disclosure (this policy and the cookies page / footer link). No blocking banner.
- If we cannot determine your region, we treat the visit as consent-required (banner shown).
Campaign parameters (gclid, UTM values) may be stored briefly and attached as Stripe Checkout metadata for attribution. Details: cookies page.
Third parties
FFmpeg, ffprobe, and other third-party components are governed by their own licenses and notices. See third-party notices. Payment processing is provided by Stripe; optional advertising measurement may use Google services when consented or disclosed as above.
