End-User License Agreement
Nanometer Advisors, LLC ("Publisher") · Slipstream DRC · paid builds after v0.3.0
1. License
Subject to this Agreement and your payment, Publisher grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Slipstream DRC on up to three (3) Windows devices you control at the same time.
Slipstream DRC requires license activation before you can probe media, generate previews, or process files. Activation contacts Publisher's license API with your license key and a device identifier derived from Windows MachineGuid. The app stores a signed license file locally and may work offline for up to thirty (30) days before requiring an online refresh. Deactivate a device in Settings before activating on another machine if you reach the device limit.
2. Restrictions
You may not redistribute, sell, sublicense, rent, host, or provide the proprietary Slipstream DRC application as a service unless Publisher gives you written permission. You may not remove proprietary notices from the Slipstream DRC application or installer.
Any reverse-engineering restriction for the proprietary application applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not apply to FFmpeg, ffprobe, or other third-party components where their licenses grant broader rights.
3. Third-party software
Slipstream DRC includes third-party software governed by separate license terms. FFmpeg and ffprobe are bundled as separate sidecar executables and are licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3.0 or later. The third-party licenses control those components.
Nothing in this Agreement limits your rights under the GNU GPL or any other third-party license. You may replace, inspect, modify, or redistribute FFmpeg and ffprobe as permitted by the GNU GPL. Publisher's proprietary app restrictions do not prohibit reverse engineering of FFmpeg or ffprobe.
See third-party notices and release artifacts for notices, license texts, dependency notices, and FFmpeg source instructions. The corresponding source archive for the bundled FFmpeg build is included in third-party-sources.zip beside paid release artifacts.
4. Media files
Slipstream DRC processes files locally on your device. You are responsible for having rights to process any media you use with Slipstream DRC.
5. Privacy and updates
Slipstream DRC does not include telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, or user accounts. Media stays on your device. The app contacts Publisher's license API at slipstreamdrc.com when you activate, refresh, or deactivate a license (license key plus device identifier only). The app may check for signed updates from Publisher's configured update endpoint (updates.nanometeradvisors.com/slipstream-drc/) and prompt you before installation. Update packages are verified with Tauri updater signatures. Windows release artifacts are expected to be Authenticode signed.
See the privacy statement for details. Publisher does not grant patent rights for codecs or other external libraries included in FFmpeg. You are responsible for evaluating patent and other jurisdictional requirements applicable to your use, distribution, and media.
6. Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slipstream DRC is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Publisher will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
8. Termination
This Agreement terminates automatically if you materially violate it. After termination, you must stop using the proprietary Slipstream DRC application and delete copies in your possession, except where retention is required by law. Termination does not affect rights you have under third-party licenses.
